The Badgingarra Wind Farm was approved by the Shire of Dandaragan. A portion of the wind farm was approved over Parron Place.

2016
Parron Developments installed a meteorological mast that confirmed Parron Place is home to a world class wind resource.

May 2024
Parron Developments partners with Atmos Renewables to develop the Parron Wind Farm.

Q4 2024
Development Approval submitted. State and Federal Environmental Approvals also submitted.

December 2024
Development Approval – 79 Wind Turbines
In December, the Shire of Dandaragan approved the construction and operation of the Parron Wind Farm (PWF) and associated infrastructure.

February 2025
Heritage Surveys
PWF and the Yued Aboriginal Corporation have entered into a Heritage Protection Agreement and in February, Heritage Surveys were conducted on the proposed wind farm site. We have adjusted the proposed turbine layout based on Yued feedback about waterways and vegetation.

March 2025
Western Australia Environmental Approval
The Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) advised formal assessment of the Parron Wind Farm under Part IV of the Environmental Protection Act 1986 is not warranted.

May 2025
Federal Environmental Approval
The Federal Environmental regulator the Department of Climate Change, Energy, Environment and Water advised that our application “to construct and operate Parron Wind Farm and associated infrastructure” was not a controlled action.

2025 – Q1 2026
Pre-construction earthworks scheduled to begin, including access tracks and site preparation.

2026–2028
Main construction phase, including turbine installation and grid connection works.

2028–2058
Operation of the Parron Wind Farm, generating clean energy for the grid.

Post 2058
Planned decommissioning of the Parron Wind Farm following its operational lifespan.
